We read every message ourselves and reply personally, usually within a business day. If it looks like something we can help with, the next step is a conversation — phone or in person — to understand the situation properly before anyone talks about cost.
If it isn't a fit, we'll tell you that quickly and point you in a better direction where we can. Nobody benefits from a project taken on for the wrong reasons.
Making the first message useful
A few lines is plenty.
None of this is required and there is no field insisting on it. But if any of it is easy to include, the reply you get is a real answer rather than a list of questions.
