SpeedGps

A single-screen GPS readout for Android, meant to be glanced at while moving: speed, track, position, altitude and barometric pressure on one page. It is an instrument rather than a navigation app — no maps, no route guidance, no trip logging and no settings screen.

It is built on one rule: never show a plausible-looking but wrong number. Where a reading is missing, stale or untrustworthy it shows nothing at all, which is a surprisingly large amount of work to get right.

The terms

Free means free. There is no second step.

Nothing here is a trial, a lite version or a lead magnet. There is no account to create, no email address to hand over, no telemetry phoning home and no upgrade being dangled. Download it, use it, ignore us entirely if you like.

These are given away as-is and without warranty — they are tools we built for our own use and found worth sharing, not products with a support contract behind them. That said, we read the mail, and a good bug report is genuinely welcome.

If one of them is nearly what you need but not quite, that's a conversation worth having — building the missing bit is what we do for a living.
